Picnic breakfast on the beach anyone? Come tomorrow morning this will be me and the husband, sprawled on the beach watching the sun rise, ahhh. We are out of town for the weekend and figure we might as well make the most of the fine weather that is predicted :] We have the CUTEST picnic backpack set which we got as a wedding gift, and a flask to keep the contents boiling hot for 24 hours - simply cannot wait to test them out.

Don't you just love lazy weekends?

In the meantime I have been thinking up ideas for new apron styles, found some lovely fabric at the local Salvation Army Family Store yesterday = BARGAIN! Never again will I settle for $10+ a metre when I can hunt out bargains at the local opshops.

I've been taking lots of pictures this past week of projects but haven't had the time to upload them yet, do forgive me!

Doesn't time just amaze you how quickly it passes? I find it so hard to believe we are already now in May! Having been married for almost 5 months, I am starting to settle into the daily fluctuations that are part of married life. Working part-time, I am fortunate to be able to meet husband for lunch most days and flutter around the house for the afternoon doing odd cleaning jobs and running errands should the need arise. Being a p/t Housewife has its definite advantages, to which I think I am well suited! I have been working on various sewing projects in my spare time, including making a lovely scarf from a discarded pair of green lycra bike pants (you have to see it to believe it… post on that to come soon!) as well as a few aprons; because who doesn’t need a chic, ruffley apron to make herself feel good in the kitchen? I am blessed enough to live just down the street from the local Emporium – perfect for dashing down to get a matching button or a contrasting trim; I’m sure the sales ladies will know me by name in no time! Isn’t it great having time to do the things you enjoy? :]

Just making a few changes to my layout/design, and having fun with a few sewing projects à la maison! Keep your eyes peeled...
